Frequently Asked Questions

What is CelleRx® Clinical Reset?

Clinical Reset is our patented, FDA-cleared hypochlorous acid solution. Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is the same molecule your white blood cells naturally produce to fight off bacteria, infection, and harmful microorganisms in your body. As part of your immune response, producing HOCl is one of the ways your body heals itself. Bringing this molecule to the surface of your skin, CelleRx®’s patented solution gently removes bacteria without damaging your skin with harsh astringents or solvents.

What are the benefits of using CelleRx® Clinical Reset?

CelleRx® Clinical Reset hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a unique, FDA-cleared patented solution which disrupts biofilm, the layer of bacteria that naturally settles, and grows, on the skin, without damaging underlying skin or tissues. Bacteria, fungi, microorganisms are the cause for a myriad of skin problems.

Complementary to your daily beauty regime, Clinical Reset is the most gentle way to get your skin back to a healthy baseline to heal itself, and to prepare a clean canvas to better absorb skincare products.

CelleRx® Clinical Reset is the only pure, FDA-cleared hypochlorous acid solution that is stable and safe enough for everyday use. Our prescription-grade skincare product helps minimize skin aggressors that cause redness, inflammation and breakouts by removing surface bacteria without disrupting the skin’s moisture barrier.

What is the difference between CelleRx® Clinical Reset and other hypochlorous acid solutions?

CelleRx(R) Clinical Reset is differentiated from other HOCl solutions by the way it is processed and packaged for maximum stability and efficacy. Others may claim a 0.01% hypochlorous acid, however inferior formulations can contain harmful impurities such as bleach, plastic leachables, and detergents and plastic or mediocre packaging can result in solution break down, impacting safety and efficacy.

What kind of skin conditions can benefit from using CelleRx® Clinical Reset?

Skin conditions that may benefit from using Clinical Reset hypochlorous acid are:

*Bacteria-induced breakouts

*Inflammation

*Skin irritation

*Minor skin wounds

*Skin burns such as razor burn

Should you use CelleRx® Clinical Reset if you don't have a problem with your skin?

Everyone’s skin is exposed to everyday pollutants, bacteria, and viruses. You can use Clinical Reset hypochlorous acid throughout the day to keep your skin calm and clean to help protect its moisture barrier from these harmful irritants.

When will results from using CelleRx® Clinical Reset be visible?

How does CelleRx® Clinical Reset work to prevent maskne?

CelleRx(R) Clinical Reset hypochlorous acid (HOCl) may help inhibit and clear up “maskne”, caused by wearing a facial mask, by removing bacteria. Bacteria is introduced to our faces throughout the day by touching it, taking our masks on and off, and through exposure to everyday environmental skin assailants. Masks cover our faces, creating a warm, damp breeding ground for bacteria on the surface of our skin. Clinical Reset HOCl removes bacteria to calm skin and inflammation. A few sprays of CelleRx(R) throughout the day will remove maskne-causing bacteria on your face. Although we don’t have clinical data to prove that it prevents this condition, we have multiple customers who have benefited from using Clinical Reset for maskne.

What is the difference between CelleRx® Clinical Reset hypochlorous acid and bleach?

Bleach is NaOCl (sodium hypochlorite) while hypochlorous acid is HOCl . CelleRx® Clinical Reset is formulated without bleach as a byproduct.

Does CelleRx® Clinical Reset hypochlorous acid strip the skin?

No, CelleRx(R) Clinical Reset does not strip the skin. It’s gentle enough for long-term everyday use, yet is powerful to remove harmful bacteria. Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is the same molecule your white blood cells naturally produce to fight off bacteria, infection, and harmful microorganisms in your body.

Are there any side effects to using CelleRx® Clinical Reset?

What's a biofilm? Why should I care?

You’re already familiar with a biofilm that you remove at least twice a day: plaque. Biofilms are present on every surface of the body that will come into contact with the outside world. Your teeth, your intestines, your skin; this biofilm is a mix of good and bad bacteria, fungi and yeast. It’s only been in the last few decades that doctors and researchers have discovered the crucial role the biofilm plays in skin health.

While your teeth can handle a good scrubbing, your skin isn’t as simple. It’s more complex and delicate than your teeth. With your skin, removing the biofilm with harsh cleansers and toners also removes the critical layer of lipids in your skin that keep it healthy, plump and hydrated. Scrubbing, foaming cleansers and over-washing your face can damage, age and irritate skin.

When it comes to a glowing complexion, maintaining the health of your skin barrier is key. A balanced biofilm is crucial.

Acne, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, and tinea versicolor have all been shown to be diseases of the biofilm. From invasive skin mites to bad bacteria and pollution, an imbalanced biofilm leads to compromised skin. Traditional cleansing, while it can remove the biofilm for a short period of time, can strip the skin leading to irritation.

While cleansing, toning and essences can strip the skin, Clinical Reset was formulated with biofilm balance in mind. This is why we recommend you replace your morning cleanser with a fews spritzes of our Clinical Reset spray, and at night, after removing makeup, spray this as a base to calm skin and set a base for your routine.

CelleRx Clinical Reset Spray was designed to balance the biofilm to better equip skin to handle aggressors and stay calm throughout the day.
